No bikes on the footpath. The Tarka Trail is a long distance footpath that is not always shared with bikes.

NCN27 I expect from certain angles and at certain times this tunnel can be a reminder of one of Munch's Screams. The long slow ascent out of Ilfracombe.

Near the summit

Hilly Devon - still a bit of a way to go to the summit.

Devon has hills, and this one is just north of Braunton.

This long incline on the road is a bit of a shock after the gentle rail trail of the NCN27 Tarka Trail.
